Fuel Tank Heatshield Corrosion

This technical bulletin addresses corrosion on the fuel tank heatshield of certain Land Rover models.

Affected Vehicles

Discovery Sport (2015 onwards) and Range Rover Evoque (2012 onwards)

Cause and Action

Corrosion may be caused by insufficient surface coating on the steel heatshield. If a customer expresses this concern, follow the Workshop Procedure below.

Parts Required:

Heatshield, differential bolt(s), rear driveshaft bolt(s), and front driveshaft bolt(s)

Warranty:

Normal Warranty procedures apply.

Service Instruction:

Renew fuel tank heatshield (refer to TOPIx Workshop Manual section 310-01).
