Coolant Leak From The Engine Compartment
This technical bulletin addresses a coolant leak from the engine compartment affecting certain Jaguar models.
Affected Vehicle Range
The models affected by this issue are:
- F-TYPE (X152) 2014 Onwards
- XF (X250) 2012-2015
- XJ Range (X351) 2012 Onwards
Symptoms
A coolants leak may cause an “engine overheat” message to be displayed on the Instrument Cluster, and coolant may be leaking from the engine compartment area.
Causes
The cause of the coolant leak is attributed to a weakness in the plastic weld process of the coolant pipes.
Action
When a customer expresses this concern, the workshop procedure outlined below should be followed.
