Introduction to the Jaguar XE
The Jaguar XE was first introduced in 2015, making its debut at the Paris Motor Show the previous year. Built on the JLR D7a platform, it uses a lot of aluminum in its frame and suspension, making it lighter than most cars in its class.
Design and Purpose
As a compact executive car, the XE was designed to be an affordable company car that would appeal to European buyers. It replaced the X-Type, which was sold from 2001 to 2019.
Engine Options
The XE uses technology from Fiat to get good fuel economy, and most of its engines come from Ford. However, there is a high-performance V6 engine made in-house that is also used in the F-Type.
Changes to the XE Range
In 2019, the V6 option was removed, but other improvements were made to the XE range.
