Introduction
This technical bulletin informs dealers of a change in the workshop manual procedure for replacing the power steering reservoir in Jaguar X-TYPE vehicles.
The reservoir should only be replaced when certain conditions are met, as outlined in the repair procedure.
Repair Procedure
Inspect the power steering reservoir for proper operation and check for conditions that require replacement, such as:
- Reservoir bottle housing is split
- Reservoir bottle port is crushed
- Fluid is grossly contaminated with particulate matter
