Introduction
This technical bulletin addresses vertical scratches on door windows affecting F-TYPE (X152) model year 2014 onwards.
Condition Summary
Vertical scratches may appear on door windows due to the seal design allowing grit to get trapped between glass and seal.
Action Required
Follow the service instruction below to diagnose and repair this issue:
If the scratches can be felt by sliding a suitable plastic tool across the surface, replace the door window glass. If not, polish the glass using suitable polishing compound and cloth.
Service Instruction
Steps to replace the outer waist seal:
1. Open the door and remove the outer waist seal fastener.
2. Remove the outer waist finisher.
3. Remove the seal from the outer waist finisher.
4. Remove and discard the adhesive foam strip from the outer waist finisher (if installed).
5. Install the new seal to the outer waist finisher, ensuring it is even along the finisher.
