Important Safety Precautions
When responding to an emergency involving a Hyundai IONIQ 5, exercise extreme caution and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid high voltage electrical shock hazards.
In case of severe damage, do not attempt to remove the safety plug while standing in water, and never cut or disconnect high voltage orange cabling and connectors without first disabling the system.
Identification and Recognition
The IONIQ 5 can be identified by the “IONIQ 5” logo on the tailgate, charging port on the rear right side, and VIN label (Vehicle Identification Number) with a “A”, “B”, “C”, or “D” in the 8th position.
Emergency responders should respond accordingly, exercising extreme care and caution to avoid contact with the high voltage system within the vehicle.
