Introduction

This manual provides service tips and best practices for replacing the front lower control arm in 2015-2009 Honda Pilot vehicles. It highlights important features and procedures to ensure a successful replacement.

Steering Knuckle Sleeve Seizing

The steering knuckle tapered sleeve may become seized to the ball joint stud during removal. This can cause a visual difference between the new replacement part and the original part.

To prevent seizing, Mevotech Supreme control arm assemblies feature an anti-corrosion coated ball stud.

Removal and Installation Procedures

Always refer to the factory service manual for correct diagnostic procedures, component removal, and installation methods. Use a calibrated torque wrench for final fastening.

Important

Do not re-use the sleeve or mating component if signs of damage or abnormal wear are found during inspection. Ensure all rust and corrosion are cleaned from the sleeve and steering knuckle bore.
