Refueling and Fuel Information
Use the proper fuel and refueling procedure to ensure the best performance and safety of your vehicle. Honda recommends TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline where available and advises against using gasoline containing more than 15% ethanol, methanol, or MMT.
Refueling Procedure: Stop your vehicle with the service station pump on the left side, turn off the engine, and press the fuel fill door release button. Insert the filler nozzle slowly and fully, making sure it goes down along with the filler pipe.
Important Safety Precautions: Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive, so handle fuel only outdoors, wipe up spills immediately, and avoid heat, sparks, and flames.
Refueling from Portable Fuel Container
If needed, use the funnel provided with your vehicle to refuel from a portable fuel container. Turn off the engine, press the fuel fill door release button, and insert the funnel slowly and fully. Pour fuel carefully, remove the funnel, and wipe up any spills before storing.
Important Notice: Do not insert a nozzle from a portable fuel container or any funnel other than the one provided with your vehicle, as it can damage the fuel system. Also, do not try to pry open or push open the sealed fuel tank with foreign objects.
