Refueling
Use unleaded gasoline of 87 octane or higher for optimal performance and safety. Honda recommends TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline where available.
Important: Do NOT use gasoline containing more than 15% ethanol, methanol, or MMT.
When refueling, stop your vehicle with the service station pump on the left side, turn off the engine, and press the fuel fill door release button.
Insert the filler nozzle slowly and fully, making sure it goes down along with the filler pipe. Keep the filler nozzle level, and wait about five seconds before removing it.
Warning: Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. Handle fuel only outdoors, and wipe up spills immediately.
Refueling from Portable Fuel Container
Use the provided funnel to refuel from a portable fuel container. Turn off the engine, press the fuel fill door release button, and insert the funnel slowly and fully.
Pour fuel carefully, remove the funnel, and wipe up any spills before storing it.
Notice: Do not use a nozzle or funnel other than the one provided with your vehicle, and do not try to pry open or push open the sealed fuel tank with foreign objects.
