This service campaign is for retail vehicles only and must be performed whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.
Affected Vehicles
Certain 2009-2012MY Genesis (BH) vehicles produced from 04/30/2008 to 03/28/2012 and certain 2011-2012MY Equus (VI) vehicles produced from 07/13/2010 to 03/24/2012.
Service Procedure
Replace the master cylinder reservoir cap with a new one that states to use only DOT 4 brake fluid and apply revised stickers to the owner’s manual.
Warning: Only use DOT-4 brake fluid in your vehicle. DO NOT use DOT-3 brake fluid.
