Inspection Procedure
The inspection involves removing the second-row seat and accessing the fuel pump service cover. The cover should be cleaned with brake cleaner and blown dry before proceeding. Next, the engine is started and the fuel pump port is checked for leaks by placing an inspection paper under it for 10-15 seconds.
Replacement Procedure
If a leak is detected, the upper fuel pump module plate must be replaced. This involves releasing residual fuel pressure, removing the fuel pump control module assembly, and disconnecting the upper fuel pump module plate connector. The discharge hose clip must be removed and the fuel discharge hose connector disconnected from the lower fuel pump module body.

It is essential to follow the correct procedure to avoid damage to the fuel pump assembly and to ensure proper replacement. Tab breaks can occur during removal, requiring the fuel pump assembly to be replaced. Additionally, it is crucial to observe proper precautions when handling the hose retaining clip and pipe support springs to avoid losing them.
