Getting Started
Learn about the Freelander 2’s driver controls, vehicle access, and comfort adjustments.
Keyless Entry and Start
Hold the Smart Key flat against the underside of the steering column to start the engine.
Central Door Locking
Press the lock button to lock all doors and the tailgate. Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate the panic alarm.
Steering Column Adjustment
Unlock the lever, adjust the steering wheel to the desired position, and move the lever back to the lock position.
Seat Adjustments
Adjust the seat using the power or manual controls. Use the driving position memory controls to store your preferred settings.
Climate Control
Use the automatic system to maintain a comfortable temperature. Press AUTO to activate.
Engine Start/Stop
Press the START/STOP button to start or stop the engine. The engine will automatically switch off when the vehicle comes to a stop.
Cruise Control
Press the cruise control button to set the speed or increase/decrease the speed in 2 km/h increments.
Parking Aids
Use the front and rear parking aids to assist with parking. The system will sound an intermittent tone if an obstruction is detected.
Exterior Lights
Use the outer collar to adjust the headlights, fog lights, and high beam.
