Important Notes
Before installing your Whipple Supercharger Kit, please read this manual and verify that all items are present.
Premium fuel (91 octane or better) is required to prevent spark-knock/detonation under certain operating conditions.
Drain all fuel before installation, and fill the intercooler system with approximately 2 gallons of distilled water and Ford Factory equivalent engine coolant (50/50 mix).
Recommended Tools and Supplies
The following items are not included in this supercharger kit and are strongly recommended for ease of installation or maximum performance:
Engine oil: Ford Motorcraft 5W-50 full synthetic motor oil PN #XL-SWSO-QGT)
Tools: 1/4 and 3/8″ torque wrenches, metric wrench set, electric or air drill, Y4 3/8″ , Yz assorted metric socket set, Smm ball head allen, 3/8″ assorted metric allen socket set, 8mm hex allen wrench, 12 breaker bar, flat head and Philips screw drivers, and drain pan (for coolant).
Pre-Installation Checklist
Verify the condition of the vehicle, including the engine running smoothly and the factory malfunction indicator light (MIL) being off.
Verify the fuel system and check post-installation to validate proper flow.
Avoid contamination by dirt or foreign material during installation.
Safety Precautions
Always wear safety glasses for eye protection and follow proper installation procedures to ensure personal safety.
Handle chemicals and cleaners with care, and avoid smoking or using flammable items near or around the fuel system.
