Fitting Instruction
This manual provides instructions for fitting a modified rear hub seal (UR70222) and retainer (UR70221) on various Rolls-Royce and Bentley models.
Applicable Models
The models affected include Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, Silver Shadow Long Wheelbase, Silver Shadow II, Silver Wraith II, Silver Spirit, Silver Spur, Silver Spur Corniche, Continental Camarague, Bentley T-Series, Mulsanne, Mulsanne L, Mulsanne Turbo, Turbo R, and Limousine Eight.
Procedure
The procedure involves removing the hub assembly, dismantling it, and replacing the grease retainer and disc shield with new parts. The new seal is then pressed into the counterbore in the retainer, ensuring it does not contact any oil or grease.
Important: The seal must be fitted dry, and the shaft diameter must be degreased and cleaned before installation.
