Issue and Solution
A scraping noise may occur between the front damper spring seats and road springs, causing visible witness marks on the spring seat.
To eliminate this noise, fit lower spring seat isolators to the front damper assemblies.
Action
If an Emira owner reports a noise from the front suspension area, and it’s diagnosed as a scraping sound from the front damper/road spring assembly, fit lower spring seat isolators.
Lower spring isolators are available to order via the Lotus Dealer Connect parts system (Part Number: 8892940625).
Procedure
1. Remove front left and right-hand side road springs from damper assemblies.
2. Fit a lower spring seat isolator over the damper lower spring seat.
3. Place the spring back onto the damper and fit the spring onto the lower spring seat isolator.
