Fitting Information
The towbar should be fitted by a competent person and the vehicle manufacturer’s specification for the trailer weight and nose load limits must be observed.
Pre-Fitting Checks
The vehicle should be checked for corrosion and/or accident damage before fitting the towbar. Towbars should not be fitted to any vehicle suffering from corrosion or accident damage or which is not in roadworthy condition.
Fitting Procedure
The towbar should be fitted as shown in the fitting diagram. The towbar neck and electrical mounting bracket should be attached to the towbar using bolts. The faceplate should be tightened to ensure it remains vertical.
Maintenance and Inspection
The towbar should be regularly inspected for paint damage and corrosion. The vehicle should also be regularly checked for any corrosion that could affect the towbar installation.
