Important Information

The manufacturer recommends inspecting and, if necessary, changing the timing belt at 150,000 km or after five years; for vehicles without a particulate filter. For vehicles with a particulate filter, inspection after 140,000 km or five years is recommended.

Replace the tensioning pulley, idlers, and water pump at the same time as changing the timing belt.

Preparatory Work

Disconnect the vehicle battery and ensure the engine is turned in the normal direction of rotation (clockwise).

Comply with all tightening torques and follow the step-by-step guide for a smooth belt change operation.

Additional Tips

Change the timing belt like a pro with the Timing Belt Kit + Water Pump, which contains all the necessary parts for replacement.

Record the changing of the original ContiTech timing belt on the supplied sticker and stick it in the engine compartment.
