The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider is a two-seater spider with a mid-front-mounted naturally-aspirated V12 engine, designed for aficionados who enjoy open-air motoring and the thrill of driving. The car’s concept draws inspiration from open-topped Ferrari Gran Turismo models of the 1950s and ’60s.

Key Features

The engine, an innovative F1AOHD unit, produces 830 CV with maximum revs of 9500 rpm, thanks to modified components and software. The valvetrain with sliding finger followers and titanium con rods helps reduce weight and inertia. The car also features a new Aspirated Torque Shaping (ATS) strategy, which optimizes the torque curve in third and fourth gears.

Design

The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider’s exterior design marks a departure from traditional Ferrari styling, with clean lines, ultra-clean flanks, and a sculpture-like rear wing. The interior features a dual-cockpit architecture with three defined levels, using sustainable materials like Alcantara@ containing 65% recycled polyester. The car features an 8-speed DCT transmission and 21″ rims.

Performance

The car’s performance under acceleration is improved, with 30% faster gear shifting times compared to previous V1Z applications. The 8-speed DCT transmission delivers 5% shorter gear ratios in lower gears and a 12% increase in torque at the wheels, all for improved longitudinal performance.
