According to the first two pages of the automobile manual, the Jaguar S’-type, introduced in October 1963, was built in South Africa by Car Distributor Assemblies (CDA) at East London, under the assembly of Complete Knocked Down (CKD) kits shipped from Coventry. The S’-type was built in two versions: the 3.4-litre MOD and 3.8-litre models.
