Introduction

The Volvo XC40 Recharge is a medium SUV available in Australia as a pure electric vehicle (BEV). It’s Volvo’s first full-electric vehicle, with sales beginning in mid-2021.

Driving Range

The driving range estimates for the Volvo XC40 Recharge vary depending on the testing system used. The US EPA range estimates are 335 miles for the AWD variant and 460 miles for the RWD variant.

Charging Speeds and Requirements

The XC40 Recharge has a CCS2 socket and can charge via Type 2 AC chargers and CCS2 DC fast-chargers. The charging port is located on the rear left side.

The vehicle can be charged at any AC EVSE, but an adaptor may be needed for older EVSEs with Type 1 (J1772) plugs.
