Eurasian Type Approval Labour Time Schedule

This schedule aims to assist Lotus Dealers in submitting warranty claims and estimating job times. Each labour time is listed for a specific operation code, which identifies the type of operation and the subsequent labour time allowance. The labour times are required to be completed by a suitably skilled technician at normal speed, using procedures detailed in the Service Notes manual.

Labour Time and Operation Codes

The operation codes consist of a six-digit component code in conjunction with a two-digit work code, which defines the type of operation. Labour times are listed for each operation code, and these times can be used to calculate the required labour time for a job.

A failure code, which consists of an A code denoting the component fault and a B code denoting the symptoms leading up to the fault, must also be included on the warranty claim.

Debugging and Testing

As a general rule, diagnosis and testing, both before and after an operation, should be considered an operating expense and are not reclaimable under warranty unless prior authority has been granted.

The schedule includes explanations for each failure code, detailing the symptoms and recommended actions.
