Overview
The new A-Class is the second model series from Daimler to be certified to the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard, using the new WLTP test method.
Good fuel consumption figures require good aerodynamic qualities, with a Cd figure from 0.25, the new A-Class betters its already very good predecessor.
Environmental Protection
Environmental protection at Mercedes-Benz means more than fuel consumption, it’s about minimizing environmental impacts and costs throughout the entire life cycle.
The “Design for Environment” approach is integrated into the development process to reduce environmental impact caused by emissions and consumption of resources.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
The LCA, also known as the ‘360° environmental check’, scrutinizes all environmentally relevant aspects of a car’s life, from manufacture to production, vehicle operation, and recycling.
The results of the LCA are documented in-house and checked by independent assessors from the TÜV Süd inspection authority.
