Radios and Audio Systems
The XJ and S-TYPE offer advanced audio systems with various features.
Steering Wheel Controls
Four audio system control switches are situated on the left-hand side of the steering wheel.
These switches provide finger-tip control of audio, telephone, and voice activation systems while driving.
DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Mode
DSP facilitates optimisation of sound for specific seating positions.
Repeatedly press the MODE button until POS ALL is displayed, and rotate the volume control knob to cycle through settings until the desired setting is achieved.
Note: To improve the comfort of passengers in the rear, the bass performance of the subwoofer is reduced when DSP mode is set to POS ALL or POS REAR.
Rear Multimedia System (RMS) Settings
Rear seat passengers have the ability to control audio system functions, including adjustment of volume through cabin speakers.
To inhibit the RMS controls, press and hold the MODE button until the current RMS mode is displayed.
Note: Automatic memory function (A MEM) programmes the nine strongest stations on a selected waveband.
