Important Safety Information

When responding to an emergency involving a Chevrolet Bolt EV, always wear appropriate protective equipment, including insulated gloves and safety goggles.

The vehicle can be identified by the “BOLT EV” emblem on the liftgate.

Immobilization and Stabilization

Block the wheels and follow procedures for conventional vehicles. Apply the Electric Parking Brake and shift into Park.

Disabling Direct Hazards

Before working on high voltage systems, wear protective equipment and disable vehicle propulsion by pressing the POWER button.

Wait at least 10 seconds to allow airbag reserve energy to dissipate and 1 minute for high voltage energy to discharge.
