Edit Note: This manual provides instructions for installing the Front Fog Lamp Package on a 2014 Cadillac SRX.
Pre-Installation Checklist
Before starting the installation, make sure to:
- review the entire procedure;
- ensure the ignition switch is in the off position;
- turn off all lamps and accessories;
- remove the battery cover and engine control module (ECM) for better access.
Procedure
1. Loosen the negative battery cable bolt and remove the negative battery cable from the terminal.
2. Remove the battery and battery tray from the vehicle to access the X2 connector and fog lamp harness.
3. Release the retainer clips and remove the instrument panel side trim panel from the instrument panel assembly using a flat-bladed plastic trim removal tool.
4. Depress the tabs and remove the headlamp switch from the instrument panel.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp switch and discard the headlamp switch.
6. Locate the new headlamp with front fog lamp control switch and connect the electrical connector to it.
7. Install the new headlamp with front fog lamp control switch to the instrument panel.
