The battery system of the vehicle is 12-volt negative earth with the battery located under the driver’s side rear seat. The battery is grounded to the vehicle body and is connected to the battery connect switch. The battery connect switch isolates electrical power from all systems and modules, except for the ‘keep alive memory’ functions in the PCMs, TCU, radio, and navigation system.

Power Supply

The power supply comes from the battery to the battery disconnect switch (BDS) and then to the clean feed battery studs. The clean feeds are then live for various systems and components, including the boot fuse box, under bonnet fuse box, and CEM busbars.

Charging Circuit

The charging circuit is completed by connecting the battery to the alternator, which generates electrical power. The power then flows through the ‘dirty feed’ stud and the battery disconnect switch to the battery positive terminal.

The summary only includes information from the first two pages of the manual and does not include the title or any information beyond that.
