Important Safety Information
The 48 V on-board power supply is automatically deactivated during accidents in which the airbag(s) deployed. For all other cases, the 48 V Lithium-ion battery has to be separately disconnected in addition to the 12 V lead acid battery.
Warning: Hazard due to electric arc when disconnecting the 48 V battery.
Vehicle Immobilization
To immobilize the vehicle, push the park button on the gear lever, apply the parking brake, switch off the ignition, and press the START-ENGINE-STOP button without depressing the brake pedal.
Warning: When pressing the START-ENGINE-STOP button and depressing the brake pedal at the same time, the engine will start!
Deactivation of High Voltage System (HV)
There are two options to deactivate the HV system: one in the engine compartment and one in the passenger compartment.
