Important Safety Precautions
Before starting repairs on the electrical system, obtain the anti-theft radio security code and switch off the ignition.
Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap, and on vehicles equipped with Audi Telematics by OnStar, switch off the emergency (back-up) battery for the Telematic/Telephone Control Module.
Special Tools Required
The following special tools and equipment are required: VAS 5094 airbag adapter and Special tool 3399.
Trim Piece Removal and Installation
To remove the front trim cap, pull the front seat rail front-cover off towards the front at retaining clips.
To install, pull the front seat rail front-cover in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
