This safety recall action is issued to all North America dealers to address a defect in the throttle pedal lever on certain Aston Martin models. The defect can cause the throttle pedal lever to fracture, leading to loss of engine control.
Procedure
The procedure requires dealers to inspect and repair the throttle pedal lever on affected vehicles. Additionally, dealers must examine and adjust the footwell scuff-plate on left-hand steer vehicles.
Owner Notification
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by letter and instructed to contact their local Aston Martin dealership to schedule a repair appointment.
Legal Requirements
The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act requires that all affected vehicles be repaired within a reasonable time after the owner tenders the vehicle for repair.
