Brake Squeal Issue

Aston Martin has identified that some DB11 vehicles may experience brake squeal, a known property of high-performance brakes, particularly at low speeds and temperatures.

Inspection and Repair Procedure

Technicians are advised to perform a road test, visual inspection of brake discs, pads, and wheel mounting face, and replace brake pads if necessary.

Use of abrasive paper, aerosol brake cleaner, and Tunap paste is recommended to clean the braking surface and apply to replacement brake pads.

Customer Education

Aston Martin recommends educating customers on the use of acidic cleaners, which can cause contamination and brake noise symptoms.

Regularly applying the brakes at higher speeds can help build up a transfer layer of friction material, reducing brake noise.
