Brake Squeal Service Bulletin

This Service Bulletin addresses brake squeal issues on Aston Martin DB11 & Vantage 19MY models with steel brake discs.

Causes and Solutions

Brake squeal can occur at low speeds and in low temperatures due to high-performance brakes.

Technicians should perform a road test, visual inspection, and brake noise analysis using a PicoScope NVH kit.

Contamination on brake discs, pads, and wheel mounting faces should be checked, and incorrect wheel cleaners may void warranty.

Brake pads must be replaced, and the manufacturer’s part number should be checked against the Aston Martin part version.

Abrasive paper should be used to clean the braking surface, and Tunap paste should be applied to the rear of the brake pads.

Customer education is crucial, as acidic cleaners and frequent city driving can cause brake noise.
