Transmission Overview
The ALFA TCT transmission is a three-shaft transmission capable of transmitting up to 350 Nm of torque. It combines driving comfort with automatic transmission and lower running costs than manual gearboxes.
Key Features
The transmission features a compact design, with a typical three-shaft layout, and two dry clutches operated by separate hydraulic actuators.
The transmission control unit (TCU) manages the electro-hydraulic robot, which controls the clutches and gears.
The ALFA TCT transmission has a number of innovative features, including a specific differential integrated into the transmission casing, a brake on differential for the “Parking” function, and a free wheel for reverse engagement.
The transmission is designed to be coupled to a specific flywheel, which provides locking grooves for the clutch mechanism.
