AcuraWatch Driver Support System
The AcuraWatch system employs two sensors: a radar sensor behind the front grille and a front sensor camera behind the rearview mirror.
Features of AcuraWatch include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Maintains a constant vehicle speed and following interval.
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): Provides steering input to keep the vehicle in its lane.
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) System: Alerts and assists when the vehicle is detected drifting out of its lane.
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS): Assists in reducing collision severity.
- Traffic Jam Assist: Adjusts speed and applies steering torque to maintain a set interval and lane position.
System Limitations
Some driver assist systems cannot operate when:
- The radar sensor or front sensor camera is obstructed.
- The front windshield is dirty or obstructed.
- The camera temperature is too high.
