Introduction

The 2024 Lexus UX is a compact luxury urban crossover that has received a substantial powertrain upgrade and other refinements. The new UX 300h hybrid model replaces the UX 250h, featuring a more powerful hybrid system, new digital instrumentation, and enhanced safety features.

The UX 300h hybrid model introduces a new, more efficient 60-cell 222V lithium-ion battery and a redesign of the inverter, which increases power and enhances performance. The new battery supports an eight per cent increase in total system output, which rises from 181bhp to 196bhp.

Faster Acceleration and Improved Fuel Efficiency

The UX 300h delivers faster acceleration, with a 0-62mph time reduced from 8.5 to 8.1 seconds for the front-wheel drive model, and from 8.7 to 7.9 seconds for the E-Four all-wheel drive model. Fuel efficiency has also been improved, with a WLTP combined cycle rating of 54.3-56.4 mpg for the front-wheel drive model, and 49.5-50.4 mpg for the E-Four all-wheel drive model.

Enhanced Driving Dynamics

The UX 300h features more composed driving dynamics, with faster acceleration, more stable cornering, and improved ride comfort. The car underwent rigorous testing to ensure drivers appreciate the same enhanced manoeuvring stability, ride comfort, and cabin quietness.
