Safety Recall Notice
This safety recall is for certain Hyundai vehicles due to a potential fire hazard caused by the electronic controller for the Idle Stop & Go oil pump assembly.
Affected Vehicles
2023-2024 Palisade, 2023 Tucson, Sonata, Elantra, and Kona vehicles
Problem Description
The electronic controller may contain damaged electrical components, causing the pump controller to overheat, which increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the electric oil pump controller as necessary, free of charge. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete.
