Towing Basics
For safe towing, ensure proper weight distribution: 60% in the front and 40% in the rear of the trailer. Load must be firmly secured to prevent shifting during cornering or braking.
Check tire pressure regularly, as underinflated tires can lead to loss of control. Overinflated tires may wear unevenly and compromise traction.
Trailer Towing Selector
Refer to the Trailer Towing Selector chart for Maximum Loaded Trailer Weight for this vehicle. The chart shows the limitations that must be considered in selecting a vehicle/trailer combination.
For additional information and assistance, contact an authorized dealer.
Driving With A Trailer
When turning, be sure to swing wide enough to allow the trailer to clear curbs and other obstructions.
When passing a slower vehicle, allow extra distance and make sure the trailer will clear the other vehicle before you can pull back in.
When driving on hills, downshift the transmission to assist in climbing and help control vehicle speed when going downhill.
