Emission Modification Notice
This notice applies to your 2011-2012 E350 BlueTEC vehicle, VIN: [[VIN]].
An emission modification is available at no cost to you, which updates the emission control system software and involves an exchange of certain components.
What to Expect
The modification may change the frequency of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) refills and the operation of the on-board diagnostic (OBD) system.
The modification will not affect vehicle reliability, durability, fuel economy, performance, or drivability.
Extended Warranty Coverage
Once the modification is installed, MBUSA will extend your warranty coverage for certain emission-related components for 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
The warranty covers the emission control system, including all components replaced as part of the modification.
