Please read the instructions carefully before starting the installation of the trailer hitch.

Safety Precautions:

Always follow the instructions, and refer to the Subaru Service Manual when necessary. Safety glasses are recommended during installation.

Do not drill, cut, weld, or modify the trailer hitch, and do not lubricate the bolts and nuts with oil or grease.

Ensure the bumper beam is reinstalled after removing the trailer hitch, and never exceed the maximum towing capacity and tongue load.

Important Notes:

The GVWR and GAWR for your vehicle can be found on the “Certification label” located on the left side center pillar of the vehicle.

It is recommended that a qualified Subaru technician fit this accessory, and ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle components and packaging are recycled following local regulations.

After trailer hitch installation, retighten all mounting bolts and nuts after the first 600 miles of towing use.
