BMW’s CBS computes the actual optimum maintenance requirements based on mileage, time, and other factors such as short or long-trip driving.

Maintenance Requirements
Standard operations performed at each scheduled service include verifying Check Control messages, checking indicator and warning lights, and resetting the CBS display.
Maintenance work includes replacing the ventilation microfilter, checking and adjusting tire pressures, and checking the parking brake functionality.
