The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) on some vehicles may have a missing or partially missing weld of the rotor to the shaft of the brushless motor, which can lead to a reduction in braking assistance and loss of ABS functionality during hard braking.
Repair
Replace the ABS HCU.
