Safety Recall Y24
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) on some vehicles may have a missing or partially missing weld of the rotor to the shaft of the brushless motor, which could lead to a reduction in braking assistance and loss of ABS functionality during hard braking maneuvers.
Repair
Replace the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU).
Important Notes
Federal law requires completion of this recall service on involved vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also consider this requirement to apply to used vehicle inventory and perform this recall on vehicles in for service.
Dealers should attempt to minimize customer inconvenience by placing the owner in a loaner vehicle if the vehicle must be held overnight.
