Introduction
The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is a limited edition model, available to order, with only 1948 units produced worldwide. It honors 70 years of Porsche sports cars and is the last of the 991.2 series 911 GT cars.
Design and Features
The Speedster model is characterized by its low-cut front windshield, side windows, and manually operated lightweight fabric top. The interior focuses on the essentials of driving, with lightweight door panels, carbon fiber interior trim, and a GT Sport steering wheel.
The 911 Speedster is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, producing 502 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque, and is available exclusively with a GT Sport six-speed manual transmission.
Performance and Handling
The Speedster can sprint from zero to 60 mph in as little as 3.8 seconds, with a top track speed of 192 mph. It features a chassis derived from the 911 GT3 models, with a specifically-calibrated rear axle steering system and dynamic engine mounts.
Standard equipment includes 20-inch center lock wheels, Ultra High Performance tires, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).
