Service Campaign Overview
This service campaign involves checking and replacing the coolant crossover pipe in Maserati Quattroporte, Ghibli, and Levante vehicles with V6 engines.
Reason for Campaign
The campaign is necessary due to a possible coolant leak from a plug that is glued in place rather than ultra-sonic welded.
Checking Procedure
Check the cap on the crossover pipe for traces of glue, and verify the production date on the pipe. If the date is 03/18, the pipe must be replaced.
Replacement Procedure
The replacement procedure involves draining the engine coolant, removing the engine cover, and replacing the crossover pipe with a new one that has an ultra-sonic welded cap.
