Important Installation Notes
Discard old nuts and bolts. Do not reuse hardware. Inspect all mating surfaces and replace mating components if damaged or out of specification.
Remove all rust, burrs, and other contaminants from the steering knuckle bore and other mating surfaces.
Replace the steering knuckle if the ball stud is broken, bent, or loose, or if the tapered mating surfaces of the steering knuckle bore are deformed or damaged.
Use only a calibrated torque wrench for all fastening procedures at correct preloaded vehicle ride height.
Tie Rod End to Steering Knuckle Fastening Values
See Figure 1 for tie rod end to steering knuckle fastening values (76LB-FT/103.N-M).
Jam Nut (52LB-FT/70N-M).
