Fresh/Recirculation Servo Actuator Separation
This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 model year RX 350 and RX 450h vehicles that may exhibit decreased front windshield defroster performance at extremely low ambient temperatures.
Symptoms:
Front windshield defroster performance may be decreased at extremely low ambient temperatures.
Cause:
The fresh/recirculation servo actuator may separate from the servo, causing the HVAC system to become stuck in recirculation.
Repair Procedure:
The repair involves inspecting and reinstalling the fresh/recirculation servo motor actuator, and replacing the damper servo sub-assembly if necessary.
