2016-2017 F-PACE, XE, and XF Technical Service Bulletin: Ticking Noise in Passenger Compartment

Issue Summary

A ticking noise may be heard in the passenger compartment while driving with the engine under load.

Cause

The noise is caused by an incorrect specification engine-to-chassis ground strap, creating a noise transfer path between the engine high pressure fuel system and the body into the passenger compartment.

Action

Replace the engine ground cable with the correct specification part.

Refer to the Workshop Procedure for detailed instructions.
