Body Construction Characteristics
The Dodge Challenger body structure uses various types of steel, including hot rolled, cold rolled, and high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel, to provide structural integrity and corrosion prevention.
Galvannealed coatings are used throughout the body structure, and Ecoat is applied to the complete body.
Body sealing, stone-chipping resistant primer application, and underbody corrosion prevention measures are also implemented.
Steel Applications
Galvannealed steel is used in various body components, including the body side aperture, cowl plenum panel, dash panel, and front door inner panel.
