Special Coverage Adjustment 18357
This special coverage is for 2014 Cadillac ATS vehicles that may inadvertently shift into manual mode, causing the transmission to downshift to first or second gear, resulting in a safe but unwanted vehicle deceleration.
Condition
The vehicle may shift into manual mode without the operator shifting, and the driver will not be able to shift out of manual mode until the vehicle is turned off and back on again.
Coverage
This special coverage covers the condition for a period of 6 years or 72,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service.
Correction
Dealers are to remove and replace the shifter assembly.
Reimbursement
Vehicle owners or lessees who paid for repairs referenced in this Special Coverage are eligible for reimbursement of their reasonable and customary expenses.
