Important Safety Recall Information

The clutch cover diaphragm spring on certain 2012-2016 FIAT 500 vehicles may fatigue and/or fracture, resulting in the inability to disengage the clutch, shift gears, and potential loss of motive power.

This recall applies only to vehicles equipped with a Manual Transaxle (sales code DDF) built from June 22, 2010, through January 29, 2016.

Repair Procedure

All involved vehicles must be inspected for a clutch pedal travel limiter. Vehicles found without a clutch pedal travel limiter must have a new clutch pedal assembly and a new clutch pedal start switch installed.
