Vehicle Identification and High Voltage Disabling Procedure

The Buick LaCrosse and Regal eAssist vehicles do not have exterior badging to identify them as eAssist vehicles. To differentiate, look for specific features under the hood, in the instrument panel cluster, and in the trunk.

High Voltage Labels and Cables

The high voltage system features red danger labels and orange warning labels. Cutting the low voltage cables is necessary to disable the high voltage system, but do not cut the orange high voltage cables.

First Responder Considerations

When responding to an emergency, disable the 12V electrical system before cutting into the vehicle. The high voltage battery is isolated from the vehicle chassis, and the battery on fire will not explode.

Important Safety Notes:
Do not cut into the vehicle until the 12V electrical system has been disabled.
Use copious amounts of water to cool the battery and extinguish a fire.
